Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Flat head V8 3 speed on the floor and it currently runs and drives; although the engine is weak it will get on and off a trailer or carrier. This is a one ton heavy duty truck with an 8’ bed and can make a great rat rod tow vehicle or parts hauler. It’s an old farm truck from north of San Francisco and I am the third owner. There is some rust as you can see in the pics but nothing structural. The frame and floors are good. Even what appears to be the original wood bed floor is very usable and is currently holding all the spare parts I will include with the sale. It’s still 6 volt and all the lights work. The battery and generator are new/rebuilt. I installed a new master cylinder and all wheel cylinders and new pedal bushings and shaft. All the steel brake lines and flex hoses are new. The shoes and drums were in good shape so I didn’t bother replacing them. I also installed a 4.56 Dana 60 out of a 66 F250. The CA title is in my name and the reg is current (due this month). Parts included in sale: Original Rockwell split case rear end (disassembled) and a spare, new 17" tires (not mounted), twin I beam front suspension and spindles out of a 66 F250, extra door latches, dash cluster and some misc F3 / flat head related parts. If it meets my very realistic reserve I will include a 390 core short block and heads, an early 70’s 4x4 truck tranny and bell housing, a radiator for an FE, and several other FE engine parts necessary to do the conversion. I do not have a 390 flywheel but you should have no trouble finding one at pick N pull. This great project truck has all the potential to be a real utility vehicle! My old 66 F250 had the exact same size drum brakes and I was towing cars with it. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it’s for sale locally. Any serious buyer is welcome to inspect this vehicle in person. Buyer pays for all shipping costs but I will assist in loading. Will trade up/down for specific MoPar parts. Late 60's B and A body or misc big block or 426 HEMI engine parts. I can be reached M-F during normal business hours (PST) at: 510 430 0833
