Up for auction is my beautiful 1979 Silver Wraith II. I have had this car for quite a few years and have enjoyed it greatly. These cars really ride and drive unlike any other modern car. It has a large 6.75 liter V-8 that propels it down the road with composure befitting such a high caliber car. Everything about this car screams luxury. The transmission shifts imperceptibly and the seats are so comfortable you would liken them more to your living room recliner than a car seat. It has all the power options that were offered for these cars including power seats, windows and locks. Rolls-Royce designed these cars to a higher level than any other car of the era. Rolls-Royce used the highest quality wood and leather available throughout the interior. The material and workmanship in the interior is amazing. The car has two independent braking systems, self-leveling hydraulic rear suspension, precise rack and pinion steering and four wheel independent suspension. All of this equates to a car that is sure footed and composed in almost any situation. This car is a Silver Wraith II and it a rare version of a Silver Shadow that has an extended wheelbase that benefits the rear passengers. The rear legroom is amazing and ample even for tall passengers. This car has undergone extensive refurbishment even though it was a great looking and driving car when I acquired it. I have had the following done to the car in the past couple years: Bare metal respray. All the paint was removed and the car was repainted and rubbed to an impressive finish. New Everflex vinyl top. The top had the typical rock chips above the windscreen, so I had it removed and a new one fitted. This is a significant task that required removal of both the front and rear windscreens, so new window seals were fitted at the same time. Professionally refinished woodwork. I did not want to look at the small cracks that most people tolerate on these cars as they age, so I removed and had all the wood professionally refinished by Heritage Woodworks. Heritage Woodworks is a well know wood refinisher that has refinished wood in cars that participated in the most prestigious car shows in the world including Pebble Beach. The wood looks amazing! All leather removed and cleaned. While I had the wood pulled, I pulled all the leather and carpet from the car and cleaned it up. The Connolly hides look great. Rebuilt brake system. I have replaced all rubber hoses and seals in the brake system. I didn't want to fix one piece and wait for the next to break, so I had the whole system rebuilt. The result is a great functioning and reliable two circuit brake system. Rebuilt steering rack. The steering rack started leaking, as they tend to do. I sent the steering rack to Atlantic Enterprises for a complete overhaul. The steering is nice and tight and leak-free. New gear reduction starter. The original Lucas starter failed to commence, so I replaced it with a quality gear reduction unit like is used on the later Rolls-Royces. This is a beautiful, reliable Rolls Royce that anyone would love to own, drive and more importantly be seen in... I can also offer some assistance with the delivery of the car.
