I bought this as a project vehice since the body and interior are excellent, it is the sport model, and it is optioned out with power windows, locks etc. It is supposed to have engine issues. As you can see, it is still on the trailer and I have not verified anything. For all I know it just has a dead battery. I would assume the worst and plan for an engine swap. It seems as if I have too many projects going on and didn't anticipate getting as far behind as I am. The Crown Vic needs the rear end rebuilt, the Cherokee needs head gaskets,my camper rebuild isn't finished, and the bathroom in the house is completely gutted. Something needs finished if I am going on vacation this fall, so the Escort is the odd man out. Cosmetically, all I see is the back part of the headliner needing reattached and some carpet cleaning. Mechanically I can't say, but these are easy to work on and would make an excellent driver, sporty with good mileage. I don't want lots of money for it and since it is already on the trailer, I would deliver it for free out to 50 miles and a dollar a mile after that.
