Shipping a car can cost upwards of $1,000!I am selling my 1995 325I BMW. Overall this is a solid car. I have invested over $4,000 into it and can produce the receipts. All major mechanical components are working well. I have a new company car and corvette, I had planned on bringing this car back to its factory line days but my new Corvette has taken all of my interest, unfortunately the Bimmer just sits in the garage now. Hopefully I can find a good home for it! If you are interested you can have the car inspected or set up an appointment to come and see it. I would not recommend using this car for long commutes. I think it would be perfect for getting around town or back and forth to school.This is a nice fun car. You should get a lot of enjoyment out of it! What's good: * New head and head gaskets- $2200 * New rebuilt automatic transmission- $1,000 (the transmission skips slightly between 2nd and 3rd) It does not impact the driveability of the car. The mechanic has recommeded a transmission service. * New driver side window motor- $300 * New radiator and hoses- $400 * New battery- $180 * Remote control Kenwood stereo unit (removable face) * The convertible top WORKS with some minor assistance. The fabric of the top is good overall, there is some wear on the front driver side of the top near the top of the windshield frame (minimal). * Rear window is not yellow or cracking * The computer system works but says "coolant low" which is not true. The clock display does not work. * AC Works! * Upgraded Wheels from a 2006 model. Tires have a lot of life left on them. * Interior is fair, no cracks on the dashboard. * NO RUST! What it needs: * The car has an electrical pull/leak, I believe this may be related to the window actuator. You cannot park it for long periods or the battery will die. I disconnect the positive terminal and reconnect when I want to drive it. * The paint looks good from 10' away. It is a 16 yr old paint job and has minor dings and knicks. The trunk is oxidizing, using compound and wax brings the shine back. There is evidence of the paint cracking on the hood as you can seee in the picture. If I were to keep the car I think a nice paint job would be a good investment. * The car does have a handful of small dents around it (nothing major) * Driver's side door panel has a 1" crack on the top of it * This is a 16 yr old soft top convertable. I would not trust it to be water proof if sitting in the rain for a while. * The car does leak some oil (spots)
