UPDATE: I AM RELISTING THIS AS THERE IS A CHANGE IN CONDITION. i TOOK THE BIKE OUT FOR A TEST RIDE AND ON THE WAY BACK IT STARTED RUNNING ROUGH AT LOW RPM'S. I TRACED THE PROBLEM TO A BAD COIL. I REALLY DON'T HAVE TIME TO REPLACE IT SO I AM SELLING IT AS IS. I DROPPED THE STARTING PRICE TO 400 WHICH IS LOWER THAN ANY 650 PARTS BIKE OUT THERE. IF IT DOSN'T SELL I WILL WAIT UNTILL WINTER WHEN I CAN REPLACE THE COIL THEN SELL IT IN THE SPRING FOR FULL PRICE. THANKS AGAIN, This is a very clean low-milage all original bike. I bought it this spring because I has one just like it in college. I truly love this bike but have only found time to ride it about 10 times this summer and my wife said it must go so she will have room in the garage again. The GS650 is a great all around bike. It is the perfect size for commuting or for riding on beautiful days. It is large enough for any size person but also light and low enough that most women have no problems riding it either. The 650 makes plenty of power for effortless cruzing on the hwy, but is still light enough to be a lot of fun around town. You won't get tired out from riding this one in the city like you do on the goldwings and other large crusiers. The G model is the sporty one, it has better handling and braking, there are dual front and single rear disk brakes. This is a shaft driven motorcycle. Very very smooth and quiet and you don't have to worry about grease on your pants, or doing any maintnence as this is a very well constructed piece. I have been getting about 40 mpg average from this bike. It would do better on the hwy but most of my riding is in the city or spirited back road riding. I just put on a new windshield which makes all the difference for comfort. I am 6'4" and the wind hits me on the top of the helmet which is perfect for cruzing, if you are shorter there would be allmost ne wind feeling at all. It is easily removable for that wind in your face feeling. The bike is in very good condition but it is 30 years old and is mostly origional. The paint is in good shape for it's age, there are scratches and scuffs that occur on all bikes but nothing major. I put a new battery in it when I got it, so there is no problem with starting every time. The bike runs great. You could just get on and go but is probably due for a tune up with new plugs and wires and a can of carb cleaner as it has been sitting most of the summer. The rear tire is almost new and the front has plenty of tred left but has some cracking on the sidewalls so it should eventually be replaced. Other than that there are no known issues with this bike. You won't be dissapointed with this one. If I had more room and time I would not be selling it. This is a no reserve auction so it will sell this week. If you have any questions let me know. I am not a mechanic but I will try to find out anything you might want to know. Thanks for looking.
