Although we are an authorized automobile dealership, we are first and foremost auto enthusiasts. This beautiful 1988 Ferrari Testarossa was owned by a long time Ferrari enthusiast in Boca Raton, Florida. It was lovingly enjoyed and cared for during the last 10 years or so while in his caring hands until the car developed a head gasket failure. The owner dropped the car off at a Florida Ferrari repair shop to be diagonsed for repair. According to the owner the shop proceeded to pull the engine and begin disassembly without getting prior approval from the owner for the repairs. As you can imagine when the owner found out that the car's engine had been taken apart a big battle ensued. The short version is that the owner had the car picked up and towed to another location where he proceeded to seek action against the repair shop. Somewhere along the way the owner lost interest in the the car and the whole affair. It was at this point that he decided to simply sell the car to us "as is where is". We had the car shipped to our suburban Indianapolis location and have sorted things out and cleaned the car for resale to someone who would like to complete what has already been started. We have sorted through the engine and it appears that all of the important pieces are there to reassemble it to be back in good running order. Nothing looks like it will need any major work other than reassembly as best we can tell. We have the car all prepped for assembly here in our showroom.
