1968 El Camino: 350 Engine, 400 Turbo Transmission, About 6,000 miles on new engine and rebuilt transmission. .This is not the original engine or transmission (came stock with 307, 2 Speed Power Glide Tran). Been in the family since 1978... Restoration is not complete but runs great and looks good…see pictures. On Sep-12-11 at 16:32:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked a few questions that others may like to know as well so I am posting them as follows: 1) I have the title in hand...I don't know why a history report does not appear. The VIN # is the same on the title. 2) The car is ready and you can pick it up as soon as my bank validates your payment. 3) The car does not have an oil leak. It sits in my shop with a car cover over it and no oil pan under it. As stated in the description, it is a new engine and rebuilt transmission. You will see a few drops on the concrete, but no leaks. 4) The car starts every time. 6) Is there hidden damage? I will provide pictures of anything I can get to, just ask. I am not hiding anything...I tried to give high quality photos of the rear window; there is the classic El Camino rust that needs to be dealt with. Try to zoom in on those pictures...if that doesn't work I can take one closer in. 7) I have never bought or sold anything on ebay, that is why I don't have a rating or any feedbacks. I will gladly meet an inspector to have him look at the car if you are from out of town. 8) The car does NOT have Air Conditioning. It was removed in 1979 or 1980. 9) The guages all work except for the factory gas gauge. I had an aftermarket gauge installed below the dash at the ash tray location. See photos 12 & 13.
