1972 BMW R-Series

This would be considered a very good condition, unrestored classic BMW. All numbers matching. It shows the patina of it's age well. Everything on the bike works. It runs great. It has a few very minor flaws, as one might expect in a 40 year old machine. The mufflers are not original, nor are they particularly shiny. But, they function well. There is a key for the seat lock that works. However, the fork lock I can't get to work. There is a small crack in the front fender just behind the fork brace. The seat is original, and in amazing shape for it's age. I purchased it from an older gentleman in Indiana. He claimed to be the second owner, so that makes me the third. It still has the 1972 State of Indiana inspection sticker on it. It is very clean, garage kept it's whole life All fluids have been recently changed. Starts with a one second push of the starter button. It does also have a kick starter for a back up. The tires are just ok. Not new. Not matching brands. Metzler on the rear, chinese brand on the front. It has the European low handle bars. Please review all the pictures. I tried to get pictures of all the angles that I could for you. I tried to tell you every small detail that is not correct with it. The good with it far outweighs these small flaws. Please let me know any questions you may have.
