1970 DODGE CHALLENGER R/T VIN: JS23N0B407871 DESCRIPTION: You may hear this car before you see it but in either case it is going to get everyone's attention. This is an older restoration and it is an originally red R/T 383 4 speed car! The odometer was zeroed when the work was completed so the car has only been driven a little over five thousand miles. Still has the fender tag on it also! The 383 CID engine was rebuilt by JASPER. The parts used include but are not limited to: Speedpro Forged Pistons with Moly rings, all Federal Mogul bearings, Cloyes double roller timing set, Competition camshaft, reman rods with ARP bolts, Melling high volume oil pump, Stanadyne flat tappet hydraulic lifters, stainless intake and exhaust valves, Pioneer springs, one piece hardened pushrods, reman cylinder heads with 88 cc decking and 3 angle valve job, ported and polished intake to head pockets. The carburetor is HOLLEY sitting on an aluminum high rise EDELBROCK manifold, there is a HAYS flywheel and complete 10.5" clutch assembly, the entire transmission was overhauled and a custom drive shaft was fashioned and installed. There is a serpentine belt system installed and there are power brakes and steering. The headers are HOOKER worked into a free flowing exhaust system that has just the right note. The enclosed dyno sheet shows the performance stats. There is a stock looking custom AM/FM Cassette radio that was neatly fitted into the dashboard.Has original a/c compressor as well as the manifold and carburetor and lots of other stock parts will come with the car. There is a pile of paperwork and receipts for the new owner. Noticed flaws included are some cracks and bubbles on the body work in a few places such as the right front edge of the hood and fender and the front corners of the door bottoms but other than that it is in top shape. Interior is immaculate, there are assorted chips and scratches but they have been touched up and can hardly be seen.
