Classic 1975 BMW R90S I purchased this bike in June 2004, and restored/reconditioned it to its present condition. Restoration included complete rewiring of bike using all new wiring harnesses from BMW, handlebar controls, rubber parts, replacement of numerous parts with s/s upgrades, rebuild of Del'orto carbs, s/s spokes, paint, electronic ignition, s/s brake lines, chrome bag mounts, Kraauser bags, new volt meter and clock. Exhaust upgraded with Epco "Sport" s/s mufflers. (Sounds terrific!) Seat was reworked using period correct "seat spike", eliminating the seat hinges, and allowing access to underseat tool compartment/storage, without removal of bags. Bags have rare inserts designed to fit Kraauser bag's. Tires are in good shape with rear in nearly new condition. No leaks, runs as good as it looks! Everything works except the clock, which mysteriously quit working when I decided to sell the bike. Restoration/reconditioning completed in December 2004 with 28,300 miles. Currently the bike has 36,788 on the clock. This is a machine you can pack up, ride to a rally, clean and polish to do away with recent road grit, enter and win the bike show. I have done this several times! I would not be afraid to ride this bike anywhere. Solid, reliable, and rust free. Tool kit, owners manual, and Clymer manual included.
