Vehicle Detail
This is a really nice 2002 BMW R1150R with only 16,405 miles on the clock. This is a limited edition model from BMW with ABS and termed a "Streetfighter." It is a two owner bike. Next man on the seat will be number three. It has been well maintained and no service is needed - you are ready to ride home. If you are looking for a beautiful R1150R and don't want to pay the price tag for a brand new one, you have found your bike! I believe the color is considered Dakkar Yellow and Ferrero Grey. The bike is optioned out with ABS, powered brakes and heated grips. This bike comes standard with the adjustable seat, telelever and paralever suspension, blue/gray wheels, shaft drive, fuel injection, six speed transmission and 85hp motor. The special edition model came with the black engine, transmission and subframe as well as the suspension and running gear. It runs, rides, shifts and stops like a dream. There are no issues! The service is up to date and you are ready to ride. The bike has no damage and it has never been wrecked, repaired or salvaged. The valve covers have been replaced wth black covers off a later model, but I don't see any signs that it has fallen over or even scraped the ground. The tires have a ton of tread, although the rear is slightly square. I think you have thousands of miles left, but sooner or later, I have to find something that is less than perfect with the bike. If there is anything less than perfect on the bike, it is some slight rust on some of the metal parts, like brake rotor bolts or fasteners. There are some signs of the bike being stored outdoors like mild discoloration of the exhaust or engine cases. All typical signs of a bike that has been ridden and enjoyed. It isn't a show bike, but it isn't meant to be. I would easily give it an 8 out of 10. The finish on the paint is very good. There is some very slight fading to the plastic parts like the handlebar controls, but the seat and painted parts look very nice. If you want a solid bike that you can ride and enjoy, this is for you. I'll gladly help you with any shipping arrangements, travel plans, etc. Fly in and ride this bad boy home. I also have plenty of shipping contacts and can help you with any vanline or trucking arrangements. I can usually find shipping for most vehicles for $600 or less depending on where it is going. Typical payment options are available - checks, cashier's checks, paypal and even cash. Any payments have to clear before releasing the title. Again, I'll work with a buyer to make a smooth and easy transaction. This is not my personal bike and I can't answer every question, but I will honestly and openly answer any question you have. The bike is available for inspection and you are welcome to inspect it before any money changes hands after the auction closes. Please come prepared to buy it and take it home, but if I haven't described it correctly, you are more than welcome to walk away. You won't be disappointed with this BMW. It is a beautiful bike and I can't imagine a better all around motorcycle or touring mount. Good luck.
