Vehicle Detail

1962 Honda CA72 Dream Touring 250 cc - Rare. Early Model **Note: This bike is being sold as one complete unit, I am not parting it out, I am not selling pieces off of it. This is nearly identical to the CA77 305 cc model (this a few exceptions, I hear the tank is different, and I think there are a couple other items that do not cross fit. From 1960 - 1967, they imported something like 61,000 CA 77 models, but only 5,000 of this model the CA72. They are supposed to be slightly more valuable because of that, but the demand for this bike is lighter than the CA77 Bought this a couple years ago to resurrect, but I just have too many projects. Does not have a title, will provide a Bill of Sale. Long out of DMV. 13,740 miles on the OD, probably true, while the bike was definitely ridden during that time, the wear of the parts, pegs, rims, etc. lead me to think that this bike regular road life up until the clock stopped at 13,740 miles. Then I know from the stories that were passed on to me it has just sat for years. It was partially dis-assembled, when I got it. I have not touched it since I bought it. The condition of the wiring, seat, rims, and many other parts is very very good. Especially for a bike this old. It appears to not have been stored outside. I think it may have the original, or at least very vintage tires still on it, they are no good now. Most all of the parts for it are there, especially the key stuff like exhaust, tank, seat. It seems to be missing only a couple items: Gas cap, tail light (which I hear are rare and valuable), tank emblems, possibly the baffles in the mufflers. It is truly as near as you can get original survivor. A bit of a collectors bike probably, but a cheap way to own a very vintage, rare model. I really think you could clean this up mechanically in a few hours, get some tires and cables back on it and hit the road. I am sure it is not that simple, but it looks like it could be. New battery, never filled, some other bits like new exhaust gaskets.. Turns over freely, which I assumed it would from just the look of the bike. Contact me if you have questions. For a fee can deliver in the So. Cal region. Can assist with delivery to a regional location for shipping, or assist if you wish to have a firm retrieve it. Thanks for looking.
