Dunebuggy Meyers Manx Style Up for sale is my Dune buggy. It is a Bruce Meyers style buggy. I've had it for 4 years and had new brakes put on it, had a new paint job done, and recently had the front seats re-upholstered. It runs and drives very well. It's good on and off road. It is street legal, has all required safety equipment, including seat belts, lights, blinkers, wipers, horn, etc. The gentleman that I purchased this from back in 2007 had owned it for 14 years, and I will list what he had done to it while he owned it. It was totally rebuilt in the 90's. It has a shortened 1959 Type 1 chassis. Fiberglass body with Mustang tailights, and round headlights. Has a rebuilt 1976 Type 1 1641cc dual port engine, external oil cooler, high volume oil pump, spin on Ford oil filter, chrome valve covers, solex carb. This buggy is a rock crawler, has turned down bus gear reductions in the rear and John Johnson no-hop rear suspension, raised front end. Has all kinds of ground clearance. Buggy is very low geared. Toop speed is 55 to 60mph. Has tilt steering column out of a floor shift Camaro. Turn signals were wired into column. KYB gas shocks at all 4 corners. Chrome spoke wheels and good tires. Rebuilt transmission. Running gear is in great shape and has very low miles on it. New paint (only 3 months old) Corvette LeMans blue. Eurethane. Has a clean Arizona title that says 1968 recon. This buggy will go about anywhere,with the ground clearance, gearing, and tires that it has. Buggy is fun to drive, very dependable, and gets a lot of looks, and thumbs up. I have stacks of receipts for all of the work that has been done over the last 18 years. Besides the paint, upholstery and brake work that I had done recently, it has also had the following done as well. Tune-up, oil and filter, new starter, battery, plugs, etc. Unsure of actual miles on this car. I entered 1234 just to fill in the box. There is a crack in the windshield. It's not shattered, and is totally driveable. Been this way for a long time. I had a quote to replace it of $135 here in town. One small marker light lens is missing. The previous auction for my dunebuggy ended on Sunday the 21st. I received an e-mail from the winning bidder (gregangst) the next morning, saying that "It appears that the friend that used my account to bid on your Dune Buggy does not want to buy it after all. I am so sorry. Please send me a cancelation request." This is part of what's the matter with E-Bay. Friends, kids, neighbors can use your account, bid on and win items, then they never pay. Anyhow, this is why my item is being relisted. Got to love this e-bay crap!!
