Thank you for looking at our old classic car. We purchased this car from an estate sale recently. The owner passed away 20 years ago and it's basically been sitting in a dry garage since 1985. The miles read 25,000 miles and in 1990 the Probate Court guessed the miles to be 50,000 actual, when they were probably 25,000 actual. Since this car is over 10 years old we are selling it miles-exempt. This car runs very well. It ran well when it was parked in 1985. We put a complete tune-up on it and changed all fluids. We changed the battery, put on brand-new dual exhaust and replaced the complete braking system, including the master cylinder and brake booster. We also installed 4 nice tires. I believe that you could drive this car home wherever you live in America; Hawaii or Alaska would be rough. Let's talk about what doesn't work. The radio works beautifully, but the power antenna does not. The electric motor for the power seat works, but it does not move the seat; it could use a lube job. The shifter knob on the dash does not read correctly. There is one small hairline crack in one of the rear windows on this car and the front right molding above the headlight is missing. I don't think that there are any missing or cracked lenses and the car drives 70 MPH on the freeway like you're driving on air. Let's talk about the body and interior. The interior is nearly perfect. There is a 1-inch rip on the side of the front driver's seat, which is visible in the picture. The rest of the interior looks fantastic for 52 years old. The headliner and visors are perfect. The front window is perfect and does not have a chip. Underneath the car is as solid as a rock. As far as the body goes, the roof is excellent. The front bumper is nice, but it does have some tiny spots on it, which means it should be re-chromed if the car was painted. The rear bumper is very solid also, but there is rust on the top, which can be seen in the pictures. The rest of the body has some creases, chips, fading paint and cracks. It does look good in the pictures. This car looks good and can be driven everyday but a fresh paint job on this solid old car could make it even more pristine. The reserve is $6000.00 and the "Buy it Now" is $6900.00. Once the car hits the reserve the "Buy it Now" goes away. This car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time before the reserve is hit. I would love to have any interested buyers check it out and drive it. We are selling this car as-is and we will not pay for any delivery but we would be happy assist the new buyer into having this vehicle delivered to their home.
