Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a very cool 57 Chevy 2 door hardtop. This is an old hot rod that belonged to a friend of mine and has 5000 miles on rebuilt 350 motor, 350 automatic trans with Hurst floor shifter. Updated to power disc brakes just last year -this car runs and drives excellent. Older driver quality paint on a rust free body (this was an original factory Onyx black car). This car has had the inner rockers replaced (although amaturely) and has the typical body mount/brace rust that they all seem to have. The trunk/spare well is also rust free. Vintage 70's style interior and cool fully polished vintage Torq Thust wheels. Glass and chrome is all original and still in pretty nice shape for the age. You can drive and cruise this car just the way it is and be at home at any local cruise night or show -or you could go all the way and completey restore this one as it should be! Again this is an original old hot rod and no guarantees or warranties are implied. This car is far from perfect -but you can drive this one as you work on it! Sold AS-IS. Please ask all questions before auction end and car is available for inspection before auction end as well. Pick up or shipping is the responsibility of the buyer and car will need to be picked up within 30 days of auction end. Bank wire or bank check only and car will not be released until funds have cleared. Please only bid if you are interested in buying. Low Reserve! Good Luck!On Aug-23-11 at 06:34:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Just a few notes from questions I have been getting. There is no power steering on this car although it steers nicely as it is. Disc brakes are front only with stock drums in the rear (done last year). The chrome is original and is showing its age and wear and is driver condition with some typical dings in the stainless trim here and there. The motor was rebuilt about 5000 miles ago and it is strong and smooth -I do not know the specifics of horsepower etc. but can say that is is a nice cruiser with plenty of power without being over built if you know what I mean. V8 seems to be reasonably stock with a 4 barrel Edelbrock performer carb on it. Again this is a mostly original car that was painted and uphostered many years ago and has its issues as I had stated. I think it is a good looking car and great driver as it is but needs a full restoration and going through to be perfect. Expect the typical needs of these tri five cars that are 50+ years old. Luckily this is one of those cars that almost every part needed for a restoration is available after market. Please email any other questions. Thanks!
