Thanks for checking out our auction on this Mercedes 450SL.This car has only had two owners and is in overall presentable condition and comes with all the original books and manuals.The car starts,runs and drives good and has a/c,the headlights and tail lights,blinkers all work with the exception of the right highbeam and left tail light not working probably just bulbs,it had been sitting parked for over 3 years we did not even have to charge the battery and it fired right up.After going through the car this is what we found,the speedo is inop,the fuel gauge is inop,the wipers do not work,the convertible top is pretty much ruined from sitting even though it was in doors it was not climate controlled.We just had a minor tune up done on 8/16/2011 with the receipt where we replaced the plugs,charged the a/c system and replaced the fuse for the temperature gauge after the service i drove the car at least 25 miles no problems at all,the motor runs strong.The Mercedes shop suggested that the car gets all new rubber hoses due to dry rotting and all new suspension bushings as to where everything is kind of worn out.The car runs drives,brakes and shifts well,the a/c blows cold but the fan does not seem to have a high speed and it blows kind of week.The car is sold as is but we describe all our cars honestly and accurately all these pictures where just taken on 8/16/2011 we also have put a link to a photo gallery below with pics of the undercarriage so please look at all the pictures carefully before bidding.This is not a show car and does need tlc but overall looks very presentable for a 1973 and would make someone a great running driving project,transport is the responsibility of the winning bidder,thanks for looking and good luck.Link to pics: http://gogreencustoms.imgur.com/73_mercedes
