Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1961 Buick LeSabre Flat Top Sedan. It has 44,500 original miles. It has been nicely restored about 5 years ago. It is not a show car, but probably one of the nicest & surely the cleanest daily driver, collector, cruise night '61 Buick around. It was completely & properly prepped & repainted red. All of the body panels are original. The car was sanded down, minor dings etc. removed or repaired ( no rot issues), and most of the upper surfaces were taken to bare metal. It was then primed with a Dupont Urethane primer & then painted with Dupont Centari w/ gloss hardener. The car was then sanded for many hours & buffed to a great shine * Note: Centari acrylic enamel most resembles the original Lacquer of '61* All of the weather stripping and trim, door panels, etc. were removed and every jam, edge, lid & hidden area was newly painted. All of the panels, doors & fenders were undercoated with 3-M. The color is 1964 GM Bright Red with Bright White on the roof. The interior is mostly all original. The seats were removed, shampooed & pressure washed, then the vinyl on the seats & door panels was professionally repainted with SEM. The grey cloth on the seats is original & has no rips. The dash is original, the pad has two cracks. The headliner is original and perfect. When the seats were out, the entire interior floors etc, were painted & re-insulated, then new carpet was installed. The only thing the interior needs in new wind lace. The front bumper & grill is original and driver quality only. One bullet needs to be tightened up. The rear bumper and attached pieces are all newly chromed . The weather stripping on the door is original & in very good condition for the age, the trunk weather stripping is new. The trunk is rock solid & repainted multiple coats of grey stone finish. The entire engine compartment has been stripped primed, painted & highly detailed, far better than any original car would have. Every part of the top end of the engine and all attached components were removed, sanded to bare metal, primed & painted the correct colors, then all parts were reinstalled with new gaskets (including, intake man. exhaust man. valley pan, rocker covers & carb). The exhaust system is brand new. The engine runs like brand new & the trans is fine. I drive this car about three times a week. The engine is the original 364 "Wildcat-Nailhead" , the trans is the two speed automatic, power steering, and the brakes are manual. The few things that need to be done: Although the top majority of the engine is perfect, the lower portion needs to be cleaned & painted (Oil pan) All of the heating components work, but you will need a new heater fan cable. Dummy light need new bulbs. Some light body work needed under the car. Frame is solid and strong. There are two small holes that need to be repaired on the pass rear floorboard. Small paint bubbles Small repair needed to back of driver seat.
