New lower price, this is a STEAL. We have decided to lower the price significantly, and make someone very happy. Buy with confidence, this is a very rare and fun, low mileage SL. Southeast-Performance is offering up this rare 1969 Mercedes 280SL for sale. It has 29,000 original miles on it, it's a 2 owner California car, we purchased it through an Estate, and do not have any prior history. We do know the car was originally white, but the 2nd owner had it painted Red at a Mercedes dealer in California, according to the family. It is a 4 speed manual car, it runs and drives beautifully, very powerful, shifts smooth, and glides down the road. It has a black soft top, and matching red hardtop. A couple of things need attention, the drivers sunshade is loose, the door panel pocket has become unattached in a couple of spots, and the radio doesnt seem to work. All in all very minor for a 40+ year old car. There are two car covers for it as well.
