It runs great, drives great, looks great, and the attention it gets is extreme! No Disappointments: This Convertible is a great investment and a fun car to drive and enjoy. From the engine compartment to the trunk and everywhere in between, this is a clean car. The following will be a description of each area of the car, being as in-depth and accurate as possible. Please keep in mind that this is a classic car that is over 46 years old, and although I will describe everything as best I can, some small items may have been overlooked. THIS MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE WAS RESTORED TO DATA PLATE CORRECTNESS. It’s also rock solid, with almost no evidence of rust. One the passenger quarter panel behind the rear wheel is a small amount of paint bubbles about the size of a quarter. This is the only rust I could detect on the whole car body and undercarriage.ANYWHERE! The underside is also solid, with great frame rails, perfect torque boxes and original floor pans. The panels on this car are show great fit.. The car was professionally restored several years ago to a nice show car. The car now has a few scratches and touched up paint chips. There is some checking on the deck lid as shown in the pictures. The condition of the car is now a great driver, local show, weekend warrior. When this convertible was repainted, they used a base coat – clear coat application, very high quality prep and application, with no over-spray or orange peel. The paint was then professionally buffed to a high gloss. The underside is in excellent condition, and I could not detect any rust at all. The doors, trunk and hood all open and shut properly, and all of the glass is good. The roof is a 2-piece fiberglass roof with a glass rear window. The roof comes off with 2 bolts and 2 wing nuts, and can be removed in less than 2 minutes. INTERIOR: The interior in great shape with new and original components: · Wood grain Steering Wheel · AM Radio · Carpet and Kick Panels · All new weather stripping · Refurbished Seats· Console · New Dash Pad The interior is very presentable for a driver/show car. ENGINE / MECHANICS: · The car starts at the flick of the key and runs strong and smooth. The car tracks straight and brakes straight, has good steering response and a nice ride. The original engine has been rebuilt and runs strong and cool! The 4 speed transmission shifts very responsive and smooth. the odometer shows 17116. This could be 117,116 because of the odometer limits. The engine compartment is very clean, highly detailed and maintains its original appearance right down to the cadmium-plated bolts. Front drum brakes and rear drum brakes. The suspension and is very firm and responsive to the touch. The car runs and drive like new. The tires are new as well as the styled steel wheel hub caps. TRUNK: The trunk area is very clean, detailed, and looks like new. There is not even a hint of rust. A new trunk mat, jack and lug wrench are present. Of course, all bolts are cadmium plated. No issues here, the pictures of the car speak for themselves. OVERALL: The car of course gets lots of looks, it's really what I'd call the perfect collector car: a super desirable CONVERTIBLE with a Fastback Roof. that needs nothing, and runs fantastic.
