Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air 4 Door Project Car. This is a very solid car with many EXTRA PARTS including a Rocker Panel (which has some rust) and a Lower Fender Patch Panel for spots of concern. All the Chrome is also included with this car however it is not attached (only missing pieces are the side rear window post on both sides. Since I have owned the car we have put close to $2000 in parts into the car including a complete Front Disc Brake Set-up, and complete Front End rebuild. The tires on the car were new and I tried to keep air in the tires but since the car has been sitting and not moved the tires are probably flat spotted. Car has been sitting for roughly 5 years now. Motor Original 6cyl motor with 3 speed column shift. Do not know the official mileage on the motor as the mileage was turned back since PA title shows "exempt" under mileage. Car does not start anymore, but the last time it was tried was roughly a year ago and the carborator is the issue. It wanted to turn but wasn't getting gas. After messing with it a bit I actually made it worse and it started to just through gas out the side. That was the last attempt to start it. It will need the carb fixed and probably the usual...battery, plugs and wires to get running again. Interior The interior is in really good shape. The dash was taken apart and painted several years ago. Many of the bezels were replaced as well. The seats are all in great shape with no tears. They appear to be original, but don't know if they could have been replaced before I owned the car. Really the only thing left is to just clean up from sitting and add a carpet. Body Very solid car, floors are solid and were redone before we took ownership. Lower front fenders need replace, but panels are included. Also included are rocker patch panels, however they are pretty solid as well. The only larger concern is a spot in the rear roof post as pictured below. Also the normal spots between the trunk and rear bumper, but not too bad. Car was sanded and has been sitting in primer for 5 years in a garage. This is a really nice car and a Great Project car, but since I have purchased it I have had 2 boys and I have one more on the way so as any with 3 small boys know I just don't have the time to tinker with it any longer All photos of the car are taken of the car which is inside the garage, except for one. That photo was taken 5 years ago when the car was running. (rims and tires are different from photo) Also you will see in one of the photo's so rust on the drivers side near the rear window. That is the only location where you will see major rust. (and that is the worst part of the entire car). If you are local and would like to view the vehicle, just contact me and we can set up a time. The winning bidder must leave a $200 deposit within 2 Days and Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days of the auction close date. If you would like this car shipped anywhere that is entirely your option, but you must arrange for the transportation of the car.On Aug-07-11 at 17:19:39 PDT, seller added the following information: ****PLEASE NOTE THAT THE VIN 3 LISTED IS INCORRECT.
