LIVE THE DREAM! 1963 'PRO TOURING' SPLIT WINDOW COUPE! LS-1, C-4 ALUMINUM FRONT & REAR SUSPENSION AND A/C! You've dreamed of owning an early Resto-Mod Corvette! You've seen the Paul Newman and Street Shop suspension cars, and imagined how they drive! Now you can experience the thrill of one at a price that won't break the bank! This iconic American Split Window Coupe will give you ultimate satisfaction.....especially considering you won't have to pay six figures to buy it! Let's take a look at some of the details...... The ultimate color combination of Sebring Silver over Black Interior Traditional style 17" Halibrand wheels true KNOCK-OFF's hubs (lead hammer included) Performance oriented Bridgestone Potenza directional tires (225/45/R17 Front, 245/45/R17 Rear) AutoMeter gauges set in original dash panel (work properly). Even the original clock works Late model Corvette leather seats (power adjust on both sides) - 3 point seat belts also A discrete custom roll-bar is hardly visible but provides necessary safety Flaming River TILT column controls the power R&P Corvette steering Air Conditioning works well to keep the cabin comfortable AM/FM/Cassette by Custom AutoSounds Power Antenna too And now a bit about the drivetrain*...... Crate LS-1 (2001) with 460LE Automatic O/D Trans - less than 2,000 miles on package Custom 'Street Shop' C-4 aluminum Corvette front and rear suspension Please visit www.streetshopinc.com for more info on their chassis' '65-67 style SIDE EXHAUST system has incredible sound 4 wheel power disc brakes (the car stops on a dime) Frame nicely presented in black paint * I am duplicating some information that I was provided when I bought the car in 2005....from the man who built the car. I am not a mechanical expert, so I can't guarantee the accuracy of the info, but I have no reason to doubt anything stated here, and I have a HUGE folder of receipts from the build, including the purchase of the crate LS-1. The car is a fantasic driver, and I wouldn't hesitate to jump in it this afternoon and drive it to Las Vegas and back.....with the A/C on! This Corvette is mechanically outstanding, and everything works, down to the clock, headlight motors and power antenna. I am not aware of any current mechanical needs it has, but it is nearly 50 years old, so if in doubt, please have it inspected before bidding. Cosmetically, it is a gorgeous driver, but will not win a Concours show. With that said, I will say that I have had several Corvette class wins with the car....my favorite being a Corvette Pick by Paul Newman of Newman Car Creations. But, it is not perfect......the car has several paint imperfections. The doors are out of alignment at the top (need adjustment). There are some surface scratches in the glass, trim and chrome (bumpers). The wheels could use a re-polish. Inside, the leather on the seats does not match the grain of the original style vinyl door panels and dash. And the carpets seem a bit faded and older. I would guess the car was a nicely restored original when it was taken apart and Resto-Mod'd about 9-10 years ago - in other words, it is not a FRESH build. Performance wise, the car is exhilarating to say the least. Hold on tight as you accelerate, as if you're not careful you can get a bit squirrelly as the car burns rubber again shifting into second gear. It has amazing speed, sound and handling. My suggestion - bring along a change of underwear if you are not used to driving a Pro-Touring car like this.......you may need them! I've owned the car since fall of 2005. I really do love the car, but I am thinning my collection of 14 down to maybe 7! Life is too busy with 3 kids and a 60 hour/week career. I believe the car is worth 80K-90K, but I'll sell it for much less! It is time I face my addiction of cars, and I am going to let someone else enjoy this and some of my other beauties. She is titled in my name, with a clear California title, and you can get in and drive her home whereever you are. If you would like additional photos, please ask. Anything specific - simply email your request. If you would like to come see and drive the car, even better. I am located in Paso Robles, CA - which is exactly between San Francisco and Los Angeles, on Highway 101. Very easy access via drive, or you can fly into nearby San Luis Obispo Airport.
