For Sale is a 1971 Triumph TR6 that has received a full frame off restoration. Engine is a 2.5L Standard Triumph 6 Cylinder with a 4 Speed Transmission and 3.7:1 axle. Front and Rear Suspension is independent. When shopping for a Triumph TR6 make sure you check the engine crankshaft for endplay and the rear suspension and differential at the frame for rust and cracks. The restoration was completed in 1991 and was documented with 35mm photo's which can be supplied as requested. This was before the popularity of Digital Camera's. I have had the Triumph for over 20 years and it has been restored by a professional mechanic and maintained by the the same. Vehicle shows 89,500 miles but is not accurate as the Speedo has been replaced. There are less than 10,000 actual miles on the restoration. This is a nut and bolt restoration that took place over 20 years ago. Frame was sand blasted, restored and reinforced per recommendations from Roadster Factory and Grassroots Motorsports ( now Classic Motorsports).Frame was sandblasted, painted, all attaching bushings were replaced, suspension was renewed with new bushings, uprated Roadster Factory Springs and control arms were sand blasted and repainted. New Woodcock front shocks and good original rear lever arms.The differential was resealed (new axle and pinion seals).Engine was inspected and new rod and main bearings were replaced at the time of restoration. Engine crankshaft endplay is at .006" and is in factory spec.Body was completely reconditioned with new factory floorpans and rocker panels spot welded and mig welded in position.Body was hand stripped, primed and repainted British Racing Green. Original color, Laurel Green, is similar but not available comercially for the repaint.Bumpers and Rare Ammco Overriders were Rechromed. Rear License Lamp is New Old Stock.All Interior panels were renewed with new and the interior seating was reupholstered.A new convertable top was also installed.Vehicle has been maintained professionaly for the last 20 years.Recent component updates are:New Brake Master CylinderNew Clutch Master CylinderRebuilt rear wheel cylindersNew Brake BoosterNew Engine Pan GasketSee the photo's of the underbody. After 20 years no rust has found it's way on the frame or underbody. Vehicle has been kept garaged and not driven in the rain.This is a 40 year old vehicle and some issues can be expected.
