Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this all original '36 Chevy 4 door sedan with very low miles. It has the straight 6, 206.8 CI engine, with a 3 speed manual transmission. I've been driving this car almost daily for the past 3-4 wks without any trouble. On my drive through a few little towns for about 4o minutes the temp guage stays at 175 degrees, oil pressure reads from 15-20 lbs.(just what the owners manual states it should be) It starts quick with no smoking, idles smooth and cool. Drives amazingly smooth even on the older tires. The tires have good tread but weather checked. The tires should be replaced but do hold air and I have not had to add any air. The tires have inner tubes. The body is 100% solid, all steel, almost rust free. Absolutely no rust through or patching. I show in the pictures the floor pans with the carpet lifted. 100% solid with no holes & it is not rusted out along the trunk edge, only a small amount of surface rust.(see pictures) The door jams(inner & outer) are in perfect shape.(see pictures) and are in great shape. All four doors open and close nicely. No sagging at all, they close perfectly. The car is structurely sound. All glass is good with the exception of the crack in the drivers side rear door. All windows roll up & down easily. Gas guage is stuck on 1/8 so I believe it would need the cork replaced. Ameter, speedometer, lights, heater, cigar lighter, dome light, headlights(high & low beam), heat guage & tailights all work. Gas guage & brake lights need attention. New battery always stayed charged. Brakes are good and stop the car safely. E-brake works. Fender & body are virtually dent free. You can hardly find even a ding. The paint is older, however in nice shape. The passenger side door has a few small pits that may buff out. You don't even notice this from 10 ft. away it is so minor. Nice running boards with good rubbers. Nice chrome on the front bumper. The back bumper has light surface rust, but not terrible. Nice grill, not perfect, but very respectable. The interior in 100% original with a nice back seat. The back floor has the original carpet. The front seat shows a little wear but fine considering it is from 1936. The nice condition of the rubber mat on the front floor appears to be original. (see pictures) The headliner has 2 small mouse holes but the rest is OK. So in review, nice starting car, doesn't smoke, stops good, runs smooth & cool, dependable. The body is in good shape and rust free. A wonderful survivor. A couple boxes of small parts and tools will go with. (see pictures)This car is just the way you love to find them. I am very confident the new owner will love this car. Start it, drive it right off the hauler. A great car for car shows, parades, Friday night fish fry, advertising and just cruising. Low reserve, so it is very affordable.
