Up for your consideration... is a head turning, 383 carc green painted cj5. This jeep is in excellent condition, and, is ready for work, play, hunting, fishing, camping, or anything you can imagine. Runs strong with it's 304,motor starts right up,doesnt smoke or use oil,and runs very smoothly ,3 speed transmission. It goes down the road straight, and stops well. Steering is tight. 4-wheel drive works as it should. All : lights, gauges, accessories, (with the exception of the horn) work as they should. The body had a couple very small rust spots, that I cut out and re-welded new, proper gauge sheet metal and required no filler to complete. The tub and rocker panels have been Herculined... not to hide anything, but for it's usefullness. The body and frame are in excellent condition. Extras include~ a 3500 lb winch, handy for light chores, a nice jvc cd player, uniden cb radio, stainless steel grill guard, pipe side protectors, wired for a trailer with a Reese hitch, and custom built rear bumper. New parts recently put on consist of : belts, starter, master cylinder, u joints, dual exhaust, and fender flares. I have known the last 2 owners of this jeep, prior to me buying it, it had the original paint, and had never been tampered with. I believe the mileage is accurate. Included with Jeep are the original soft top and doors, and a bikini top. Original top is still useable, but not like new. Again, a very nice 1978 Jeep. Virtually rust-free. No bondo. Mechanically sound. Recent state inspection. The only issues I know of are the horn not working, and tires have some dry rot and may need replaced soon, and the rear main seal seeps a tiny bit of oil.Please dont bid if you dont plan on buying.I encourage you to come inspect and drive,you wont be disappointed.
