We are selling my wife's Jetta. We are the second owners and bought it from our neighbors a couple od years ago. We have all of the service records. The scheduled timing belt change has been performed. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. The only issue we've ever had was that on our few trips to the mountains we found that the cruise control did not like to maintain speed when climbing hills. I don't drive in the mountains much so this may be normal or could be easily fixed. I just turned off the cruise control until we got out of the mountains. The car gets 37 MPG in town and 42 MPG on the highway at regular highway speeds with driver and 2 passengers. I've gotten 49 MPG before when babying it on a long trip with no passengers. Cosmetically the car is in great shape as well. There are some scratches on the rear bumper and a couple of the wheels. There is also a small crease (3"-4" long)in the passenger's side door. I tried to take pictures of all those issues. The car has never been wrecked but my wife did hit a deer at about 15 MPH last year. The front drivers side quarter panel and hood were replaced by Columbus Body Works and it looks as good or better than new now. This car is for sale locally so is subject to early termination. It is sold "as-is" with no warranty other than to title. I've done my best to describe all of the car's flaws but if you have any questions please call or e-mail me for answers before bidding. As you can see in the picture it is just to the right of the penny and is about 1/2" long. Its been there since I bought it and had just forgotten about it.On Aug-02-11 at 04:38:07 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had several questions about the timing belt change. The timing belt was changed at 80,000 mi. At that time all other service was performed as well. That included, water pump and tensioner replacement, all filters replaced and brakes bled and coolant flush. I have the receipt for this service as well as all other service items. It is close to needing its 110,000 mile service and I'll do my best to have that done prior to the sale but can't make any promises that iI can get to the dealer and have that done in time.
