1984 Honda VT500 ASCOT

I came across this nice 1984 Honda VT500 Ascot just a few days ago at a yard sale and just had to snap it up. These bikes are starting to become collectible and are also being used as budget Adventure tours. The bike runs great and appears to need nothing more than a nice set of modern tires, and a right-side mirror which is cracked. I installed a new battery when I bought the bike. There is a small ding in the right side of tank – see pics. The inside of the tank is clean and rust free For its age, the bike is in pretty good condition. There are few scratches here and there, but no road rash. I have only put about 25 miles on the bike, but with new tires, I’d ride it just about anywhere. The bike has a clear TN title. The mileage is just 17,216, but it will probably have a couple more as I may ride the bike around town before the close of auction—it is just too fun not to. These bikes are rare since they were only made for two years, but since a ton of the cruiser models (that shared engine and many other parts) were sold for many years, major parts are easy to find. The bike is sold where is and as is. There are no warranties expressed or implied. I will aid your shipper, but shipping/pickup arrangements and cost are the buyer’s responsibility. If the bike is paid in full, I can store it for a reasonable amount of time while pick-up arrangements are made. A Paypal deposit of $400.00 is due within 24 hours of auction close, the balance can be paid in cash at pickup, or by check with time to clear before pickup.
