I am selling my 1968 400 Firebird. It is a factory 400 3 speed, 12 bolt posi rear axle vehicle. It has, I believe, a period correct engine with heads with the bigger valves (not the original 400 that came with the car). The sub frame was sandblasted and refinished. Ball joints, springs, sway bar links, brakes, calipers and wheel bearings have all been replaced. The rear axle was painted and bearings and brakes were replaced. The engine was rebuilt by Coburn Auto in Peabody, MA in 2005. The non-factory Muncie four speed was rebuilt in 2004. I do not have the factory 3 speed. I have many parts as you will see in the photos. The floor was replaced in 2000 along with the quarter panels. I was not happy with the way the quarters were replaced and the bottoms are not fastened correctly. I had intentions of replacing the quarters with the full replacement parts from Classic Industries and purchased the drivers side. I would love to finish this car but have not found the time in 6 years. I believe this is a super-rare Firebird as I have only seen 1 other 3 speed convertible 400 the whole time I've owned this car. Also, it was verified through Pontiac Historical Society that this is a true 400 convertible and only a handful were made.
