I bought this car in Florida on vacation and was planning on selling my other miata and keeping this one. I drove the car 1200 miles home and had no problems with it. It runs and drives excellent. I didn't even have the car for a month and hadn't even gotten it registered to drive and a strong thunderstorm caused a tree to fall on top of it. After the accident i backed the car into a garage to protect it from the elements. I bought the car from the insurance company because i was hoping to fix it myself but just dont seem to have the time and i need the money for school in the fall. The car is actually not that bad it really mostly needs cosmetic, bolt on parts replaced. The actual body does not appear to be damaged. The quarter panels and doors were not damaged and the bumper has a small scape on it. The parts that are going to need to be replaced are as follows: The trunk lid is dented the plastic pieces above the rear bumper are broken the driver side window is shattered (I vacuumed most of the glass out) the piece between the back of the trunk lid and the top is dented(I'm not sure if this is a bolt on part or if would need body work) the framework for the convertible top is bent and the top is torn. I know a guy that has a top on the framework that he said he is selling for around $200. His name is Gary 814-487-5028. The radio bezel is broken but this is not a result of the tree incident, it was like that when i bought it. Most likely the last owner broke it when he was trying to put the radio in. When i bought the car he informed me that this was a brand new, $400 cd player. It does have everything(usb port, aux, blue tooth, etc.). The passenger side door has putty showing that i filled in with white paint. A body mechanic could fix this pretty easily. Also, The car came with a large folder full of maintenance records. This car was taken car of and it is from out of state so it was never subjected to the harsh PA winters. I dont want this car parted out. It runs and drives great. If you want a miata this is a MONEY SAVER. As with any and all ebay auctions I highly suggest that you look before you buy. I have provided pictures of every part of this car. I was planning on selling my other miata so I put the wheels from my other miata on this one. When the tree fell on the car I switched them back. It has come to my attention that I had accidentally included a couple pics with the old wheels. I am very sorry for the mistake. This car has the original mazda miata steel wheels. Most of the pics do have the correct wheels. The main pics of the car are correct, a couple of the pics i took to show the damage to the top are the ones with the wrong wheels.
