1970 AMX 390 four speed twin grip rear Red with black vinyl interior .......Barn find with only 61,850 miles. The car has been in storage past 20 yrs manual steering, manual drum brakes, 3.91 twin grip rear axle, clock,light group, electric wipers, rim blow wheel, hurst shifter Body: The car is original golden lime metalic.It looks like the car was hit down the passenger side. then mudded up and repainted red. panels still look original and only the one repaint.you can see the body line is not sharp on pass side above the 390 emblem .Car is not bad looking to use as is or a great canidate for full restoration. The trunk floor is good. The floor pans look solid,there is one small spot i took a picture of where it looks like rust is starting in (the low spot behind the dr seat). There are some bubbles in the paint behind the pass rear wheel. If you look cloce the paint has bubbles in the body work from age.it may be a laquer paint job? it still has a nice shine to it. I bought the AMX out of a barn 10 years ago and put it in storage for future restoration. I have to many projects and have not touched this since i got it. The only thing i did was glue in the drivers side window and change the wheels. It had crager ss mags on it. The car was ordered like a SSAMX and i think it did not have ram air as there were screens in the car for ram-air block offs.there are no ram-air trim rings. buyer can have ram-air block offs and screens or open scoops. it may have had sidewinder sidepipe option as the mounts are still under the car. Interior: The lower dash has an aftermarket woodgrain sticker kit on it. the driver seat has small tear. rear carpet panel is missing. headliner sags.The build sheet may still be in the car, i have not looked. The engine is a 72 or 73 360 2bbl with 3216090 cyl. heads and runs good. i ran it off a jug to load on trailer and move around. gas tank should be cleaned/drained before use as car was last registered in 1992. extra parts for the car I will include are: 1970 390 service replacement block, 1970 390 crankshaft fresh cut 20/20 and a set of conecting rods. i also have another broken grille to repair the one in the car, pair of solid door pulls, some window trim pieces, turn signal arm on steering column. grille brakets. i have all the paperwork for NY DMV from previous owner to obtain a title. The original owner id card and owners manual are in the glove box. I can take pictures and answer any questions......
