Vehicle Detail

For Sale 1983 Ferrari GTSi Quatra Valve Concours d'Elegance Quality This maybe one of the finest quality 308's available anywhere. Low original miles. I have owned the car for over 15 years purchased in February 1996 and have the vehicles complete history. I am the 3rd owner of the car. I have owned exotic cars, Ferrari, Rolls Royce and am absolutely anal about my cars. This will make a fine addition to anyone's collection. This car is destined to be a timeless classic; some people say it was one of Ferrari's best work for timeless design and just plain great to drive. The Targa top makes this car an absolute timeless classic. The paint on this car is original. The paint is next to perfect on the car. I am not aware of any chips, dings or dents it's that perfect. No scratches on the car. I and my staff have spent hours buffing and maintaining the car finish as long as I have owned it, there are no surprises on the paint finish, including the wheels. The wheels have been upgraded and are not the original wheels; they are off a Ferrari 328. The reason for the change was when I purchased the car it had the originals wheels and Michelin metric tires on the car. The spare is the original 308 wheel and tire; the wheel or the tire has never been used. The 328 wheels allowed me to mount new low profile Pirelli tires, wider in the rear then front with some suspension adjustments improved the cars handling performance dramatically. Since the new wheels and tires it lowered the car and the roll or side to side movement in the wheel was eliminated, the lower profile tires allow this car to handle and drive like it's on rails, it very aggressive. The wheels are perfect the paint is perfect, the original decals are on them along with the correct OEM centers and Ferrari air stem caps, no after market China junk on this car. The new wheels and Pirelli tires were installed approx. at 18,000 miles; the tires are like new, no side cracks, and no uneven wear. The interior is also perfect. A few upgrades were added inside also. The seats are like new, and show almost no wear, carpet is like new, no stains or snags. The dash is perfect no cracks or splits. Everything works in and on the car. The pedals have all been upgraded to aluminum billet racing pedals; they are like new show no wear also. The pedals really add a nice touch to the interior. The shifter knob has also been replaced with a matching aluminum racing knob, a new polished shift gate was installed, again quality replacements no junk was used. I added a small OEM Ferrari prancing horse emblem to the center counsel tray area, another nice touch. The ash tray has never been used or no one has smoked in this car. The radio, the power antenna and CD player work fine, I never used them much, I preferred to hear the engine. I installed a polished QuickSilver stainless steel exhaust system in the car, the deep throaty sound along with performance increase was a great upgrade for the car, and it sounds sweet. Better then a Tubi exhaust system in my opinion. I removed the air pump from the car for performance reasons; you may need to have that addressed if you live in a E-check state/county. The car has a Ungo security system installed in it along with a custom Rosewood accent on the key. A Ferrari fender badge has been added to each front fender, these are not cheap decals of any type, and they are metal OEM Cloisonné enamel badges found on the F50 custom fitted to fit the profile of the 308 fender, this upgrade alone was over $3K. The original floor mats that came with car are included and in excellent condition, along with those mats are a set of custom red floor mats that have the Ferrari Scuderia racing logo embroidered in them in brilliant original logo colors. NADA value on this car in 2010 was $58,000. This car has never been damaged in anyway; I have never driven this car recklessly or abused the engine in anyway. I have an intensive service history on this car. The most recent major service was the 15K service which included the timing belt replacement and changing all the fluids in the car. The front hood seal was replaced in June 2004 and is flawless. The original had a small piece missing. July 1996 oil was changed at 14,372 miles. August 2003 front rubber gasket was replaced. All engine decals are intact and in perfect to excellent condition. November 2002 OEM wheel caps were installed, the valve covers were removed and polished, new gaskets installed, over 14 hours was spent cleaning and detailing engine compartment, new plug wires installed, coil wires installed, ignition rotors replaced, distributor caps replaced, new radiator cap installed, new sensor for speedometer installed, new ignition extensions were installed, over $4K invested miles on the car were 17,349. May 1984 the 5K service was completed. February 1990 oil pan gasket was replaced, transfer case gasket replaced, oil changed at 11,050 miles. April 1989 a new clutch assembly was installed, o-rings for the case were replaced, new fuel filter, flywheel was resurfaced, replaced gear lube, replaced transfer shaft, and miles on the car were 10,756. Clutch is strong, no issues with gears. May 1991 oil was changed and all fluids replaced including brake fluid, and the miles on the car were 11,563. June 2004 a new trunk compartment seal was installed, the engine lid rubber stops were replaced. May 2004 Targa top pin guides were replaced. A new Optima battery has been installed recently, less then two years. Also sold with the car is the original owners manual in excellent condition, the original leather closing strap has been lost, but the rest of the manual is wonderful. No stains or tares. The original tool kit and jack are also included. I also added a fire extinguisher that has a Ferrari logo on it and mounted it in the trunk compartment. The glass is free of scratches or chips. The rubber fuel flap is perfect, no cracks. The undercarriage of the car is clean. Also included in the sale of the car is the custom made Griots car cover, from Groits Garage it was the premium car cover over $300. All the service records and registration records will also be given to the new owner. All sales finial, you are free to inspect the car at my premises, the car has always been stored in a controlled environment since I have owned it. It has had it place of honor on my custom Ferrari garage floor, see photos. This car has been a true pleasure to own, care for and to drive, down sizing and just won’t have room for it. Feel free to e-mail me any questions @ info@ekbdc.com or you can call me at my office 419-281-4478. Please no tire kickers or people looking to steal this car, serious inquiries only. I don’t think you find a better example of such a fine car, the Rosso Corsa paint is wonderful with the tan interior this is the most desirable combination Ferrari ever built. Thanks for looking, bidding and good luck. I have the right to end this auction at anytime, this car is for sale locally as well. On Mar-05-11 at 05:47:21 PST, seller added the following information: I have been receiving a few questions I would like to address; The reflections in some of the images are just that, there are no scratches, dents or dings in the paint anywhere on the car, it truly is pristine, original and perfect, this car rates 82 on the AutoCheck Score, well over any other 308 that I have ever seen on Ebay, ever. This car is a fine example of a truly timeless classic, please do not contact me with low offers comparing this car to others that are not of the same quality, I will not respond. On Mar-06-11 at 15:32:40 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked by a serious collector if the stitching in the steering wheel is clean and white, yes. For the most part the car was only driven why I wore driving gloves to keep the stitching white and clean. I have never cleaned the stitching. Any one wishing to see please email me and I will send you a photo. On Mar-07-11 at 06:24:35 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked if I have the previous service records for this car from the previous two owners.
