This is my 1950 GMC 1/2 ton pick up (hard to find anymore) and it has alot of history behind her. This is my wifes grandfathers farm truck that he used in the feilds of North Dakota to make his family a living back in the day. After the truck had seen its "day" it was put to rest in the pasture. Almost 40 years later I met my now wife, and we discovered the remains of the old GMC. I purchased the the truck from the family and my father and I began the re-build process. The truck needed a ton of work but it was fun building it with my dad. We ended up completly re doing everything. Here is a list of what we did: Motor: Standard bore 350 chevy block, Polished 307 steel crank, Rebuilt 327 rod's & pistons, = moden 327 engine. This truck sounds mean with her short dual exaust,Pete Jackson timing gears(loud) Mild cam, Edelebrock carb,Turbo 350 auto tranny, B & M shifter, mid 70's camaro rear end, Base/Clear paint, Steel bed floor, Modern 12 volt system, solid front axle with after market power disc brakes, manual steering. This truck was completed in 2001 by my father and I and we have won 1st & 2nd place in local car shows with it. But it is starting to show some wear and I feel it is a real nice 10 year old restoration job,This truck needs some TLC now I took pictures of the spots that the paint has chipped off, (EZ FIX) This would make a nice father son project change the color? or touch it up..... I have good paint left over from that will go with the the truck.
