Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE! I am selling my 85’ CJ7, has been restored frame up. Has a solid frame, that has been re-enforced, full fiberglass body still primed in white, but can stay that color, brand new Best Top Supertop with full/half doors, just installed, new Heater Craft 28,000 btu inline heater/defrost installed, has been professionally converted to a 304 V8, with Elderbrock alum. intake and Holley 600 carb. 4 spd trans. Strong clutch, Headers with side pipes, 4” lift, 33” x 12 ½” tires (50%) tread left, M/T alum rims and much more. I purchased this earlier in the year and have went thru everything, re-wired, everything works properly, Steering box had the re-enforcement kit installed & has power steering. This Jeep drives straight and true, will track perfectly at 80 mph. Very fast, plenty of power with a strong motor. Great daily driver and/or off-road toy. All drive shafts and u-joints are good and tight, transfer case is good and 4x4 works great. Has unusual custom bumpers front and rear with swing out spare tire and holder. *Note; does have a small oil leak, think it is valve cover gaskets. Put a brand new Omix gauge cluster in, plus new fuel sending unit in tank, heat sending unit also, but the fuel heat gauges are not working properly. Working on getting a new replacement cluster from them. Drivers seat has a rip, other seats in good condition. Body is in good shape, does have some minor nicks. Selling because it is a little too fast and powerful for my taste. I am in Indianapolis, anyone is more than welcome to come look/drive the vehicle in person. May consider a trade for a nice Dodge Cummins 4x4 (manual trans. only), No other trades will be considered. This is a NO RESERVE auction, You may contact me at 317-557-9875On Jul-21-11 at 07:35:02 PDT, seller added the following information: As requested, I have added more pics of the frame. The frame is in excellent condition, has been re-enforced with ¼” plate, only a little surface rust. I had cut an access hole in the rear to replace the fuel sending unit, am going to install a metal plate over it. It will be hidden under the rear seat. I added the after market heater, so the push/pull knobs for factory heater are gone, but just need metal plugs over the holes, except for one that is for the gate valve for the inline heater, I have a cable for it. The seats are aged, but in good shape, the drivers seat does have a rip, but not falling apart, simple seat covers will fix this if you wish. I have yet to install the steering column/dash cover. I was going to re-paint the interior, dash and roll bar black, but am working 6+ days a week and haven’t had time. The top cost a little over $800 and was installed less than a month ago, properly. Wiring has all been gone thru, all lights work properly, including dash lights, no shorts and done right. The front rear bumpers are custom made, check them out, set up for a winch. There is very little cosmetic things left to do on the Jeep, just haven’t had time, or drive it like it is.On Jul-25-11 at 06:37:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Grill and dash have now been painted black, will try to get some more pictures up. The shifter knob had broke off, have a replacement knob that has to be reamed out a little fit shaft.
