For sale is my 1979 Buick Regal Turbo Coupe with T-Tops. It has the rare 3.8 liter TURBO motor with 4 barrel carb. This is the predecessor to the Grand National and T-Types without the HUGE price tag. The car has 110,600 miles but the engine was replaced with a GM long block with just over 9,000 miles on it about 7 years ago. The car is a one owner Florida car with no rust on the body but I found some rust in the passenger rear floorboards and a little in the drivers front floorboard when I removed the carpet but that was patched before the new carpet was installed. The chrome was removed when it was painted and there was not any rust under any of the chrome. The frame is solid. The car was painted 6 months ago with PPG 2008 GM Metallic Orange with 4 coats of clear but it has a few flaws, most of which would be taken care of with a wet sand and buff, but it looks very nice (7 out of 10). The interior is all brand new, Front leather and suede bucket seats, rear seats, carpet, suede headliner, package tray, arm rest, shifter handle and door panels. All the interior plastics were changed from a donor car because the originals were all weathered. Steering wheel replaced with factory turbo coupe wheel. Car has the original Grand National turbine wheels with good rubber. The transmission shifts smooth and does not slip or lag, it will still chirp the tires going into second gear. All dash gauges work including the boost gauge and yes, the clock and horn work. The car gets 28 mpg on the freeway and around 18 in the city. Still has the original T-top bags. Runs and drives very smooth. Turbo works great and you can hear it whistle when it boosts. It is a head turner but it has its imperfections when you take a closer look (looks great from 10 feet). Most imperfections will come out with a wet sand and buff. The car gets comments everywhere I go. It is an A/C car, but needs a new compressor, but everything is there to make it work. The passenger taillight housing trim is cracked off, but lens is fine, just cosmetic. Overall a great daily driver car or with a little attention can be real special. There are not too many of these turbo coupes left, so it is a real special find that is ready for a new owner. Fly in and drive it home or have it transported (I drove it home from Florida with absolutely no problems). Ask any and all questions before bidding. A nonrefundable $1000 deposit with PayPal and remainder due on pick up. Must be picked up within 10 days of end of auction. No foreign bidders, if you are overseas, find a car overseas. No B.S.
