Up for auction.....a 1987 Mercedes Benz 560SL roadster with 60K miles. The car was owned by an elderly woman and only used in the last several years to get NY State inspected and to start up to maintain the battery. The car runs and drives like new - super tight, a true gem. I recently replaced 4 calipers and fuel pump. I assume that because the car wasn't driven regularly, these were necessary repairs. The body is in excellent condition with a minor door ding on left rear quarter panel. The interior is very clean, showing very minimal wear on driver's side bolster. The car has a hard top and the soft top needs to be replaced. It has a hole in it - not quite sure why but it could definitely use a new top. I priced it out - the canvas can be purchased for $400 and labor should be anywhere from $500 - $800, depending on who you know. 4 matching Michelin tires with 90%+ tread remaining. I have all books and original VIN plates. Overall, the car is in outstanding condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. You can drive this car with confidence and pride. Truly a beauty.
