Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Thank you for looking at my 1977 Mercedes-Benz. This old Mercedes was purchased by a gentleman in Willoughby in 1977 who liked this vehicle so much that he kept it for 30 years. He drove it mostly only in decent weather, not in the snow and the rain, which enabled the car to stay in great shape over its 35 year lifetime. He sold the car to a gentleman on the far west side of Cleveland who purchased the car as a present to his wife. They kept the car for four years and sold it to me because it was a car that she had in college, and finally she got the old car out of her system and just drove the newer stuff. I bought the car about a year ago as a toy, I don't use it and I really need the space in my garage. I just replaced most of the exhaust system on the car, the brakes are to the top, the tires are nice and it runs very well. The car could use a tune-up, but it still drives just fine. Everything on this car works, but the air needs a charge. I'm leaving the air conditioning charge to the new owner because he may want to replace some of the seals before the fluid goes in. What good is charging the air if it only lasts 6 months? This car is mostly all original paint. There are some spots on the car that have been touched-up, but in the future there are a few spots on the car that may also need to be touched up, which includes a spot of rust inside the driver's door, and there are a few bubbles next to the front light headlight lens, which should be visible on the pictures that I took. This is a very rare car because most of these 450s were convertibles. If you're looking to buy my car just go NADA under "Classic Cars" to find this vehicle's value. The book is just a guideline, but it tracks the prices of these cars sold in the past to help a new buyer purchase a classic car. This car looks very nice and drives very well. If you are looking to buy this car from out of town and you would like to have the car checked out mechanically before you purchase it try to get a hold of a mechanical shop in the area that I live, and they may possibly come check the car out for you for a fee. This is a no-reserve auction. The last person gets the car when the sale ends unless you would like to purchase it under "Buy It Now". I would like the car payed for within 3 days of the auction ending, and the car picked up within a week of the auction ending. I will not pay for any of the shipping, but I would happy to assist the shipper in getting the car to your home. This car is being sold as-is because I'm not a new car dealer offering a warranty. I'm selling it as a private individual and the title's in my name. If you have any questions about the car or bidding call me, Stan Wagner at 216-598-7011. I would like to see the car go to a good home. I hope the pictures that I took will be enough to display the visual quality of this car. Thank you, and good luck bidding!
