I have inspected the body and can not find a single spot of rust or repair patches whatsoever. The Jeep has lived its life in Phoenix Metro area where they do not receive much rain and the dry desert air wonderfully preserves sheet metal and chrome. The major problem is the hot sun which bakes the paint off vehicles, and this Jeep was no exception, so a full exterior restoration was undertaken. The paint on the Jeep was fully stripped down and repainted in the original color of Desert Gold. The Jeep was fully disassembled before paint, all aluminum trim was sent out to be highly polished including both bumpers, grille, rear tailgate trim, and window trim. All wood grain is brand new including the rear spoiler and roof rack, and all new wood grain moldings finished off the gorgeous restoration. The rubber seals are all in very nice shape and the jeep seals up perfect, and all window rubbers all the way around are also brand new. The car is riding on the original Jeep 15" wheels with brand new Good Year Wrangler radial tires with less than 1,000 miles on them. The interior is in great shape all around. The original tan leather seats are all in very good shape and look like new. All dials and controls function as they should and are illuminated at night. The dashboard is in excellent shape with no cracks. Original carpet is excellent with no rips or ware. All door panels and wood grain are excellent. The headliner, visors, and leather steering wheel were redone during the restoration, but most of the interior is totally original. The jeep also has all four original JEEP logo floor mats which are in great shape! Another neat accessory which is missing from most of these Jeeps is the retractable cargo cover, which is fully functional. This Jeep also includes a cool accessory which is the JEEP Emergency Roadside kit in the back which has a radio, compressor, first aid kit, and flashlight built in. Mechanically, this Wagoneer runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts quite easily. The 5.9L engine has been fully tuned up with oil change and runs like a top! The 4x4 system functions perfectly. The engine compartment was fully detailed and cleaned and a brand new NOS Mopar hood pad was installed. The jeep is tight as a drum and doesn't leak a drop of anything. It also has its factory jacking equipment under the seat. The jeep just had nearly $3000 worth of work done including new fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, new water pump, power steering pump and hoses, radiator, fan clutch, new A/C expansion valve with A/C recharge, new fuel gauge, fuel sending unit, vacuum reservoir and lines, and new starter solenoid. The car will include several sets of original keys, jack, tools, original book, and various other papers. All in all, this is one of the cleanest and nicely restored Jeeps that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners.
