I have 2 1987 Toyota mr2's for sale. Both are Red with Grey interior, both are 5 speed. First car is a one owner bought from Newport Toyota Newport Beach,Ca., this is a daily driver, has a new timing belt and new battery. First the good; as said this is a daily driver and runs strong, the interior is in good shape for a car this age, could use a new drivers seat which I have from car #2 same color and style, this car has A/C and factory stereo AM/FM cassette, it drives extremely well as I use to commute for work 300 miles a day and get outstanding milage, car 2 not so much, will explain later. Has good glass on all windows, everything works well, lights, indicators etc. the dash is prefect. new total exhaust system. Now all the bad; car has the typical rust on the left back fender, non-under the car though, the engine could use a good steam clean, the paint is orginal and need either a good buffing or repaint although most of the paint 80% is good, the back bumper needs to be replaced due to a hit from behind, I have new bumper as well. The second car is a great parts car, it has all but the engine, the transmission is still inplace, no engine. the interior is in good shape. the second car as stated I bought just for parts, the glass alone was worth the price for the car as windshields are expensive on these cars due to the amount of glass, so as you buy the daily driver I am throwing in the second car as well. As far as reliability I would not be afraid to drive the car to either coast from the get go.
