wills.ian Store Suzuki Motorcycle GS500L - 1985I bought this bike with the intention of getting it running but we are too busy to work on it. We are selling it as a non-running cycle. The cycle has 13,000 original miles on it and frankly we thought it too nice to part out. As you can see by the pictures, the cycle for its year is in excellent condition. Front tire good, will need a rear tire.Bike has spark, we cleaned the carbs. Tank has some surface rust from sitting but I would use it as it is. Has spark, and engine cranks It appears to be a fuel problem, whether in the petcock, tank or carbs. It will sputter on starting fluid, but we never use it run the cycle as it can cause damage. Bike sat the winter in a enclosed shed - we have not done anything to it since last October. The front left turn signal has a broken screw mount, seat is perfect as are side covers. Tank has small dent on top - see pics. This is great starter bike if you can solve the problems. We put a new battery in it last year - but I don't know if it is any good sitting all winter. There is no charge in it right now. This cycle is being sold "AS IS" "WHERE IS" with no warranty or guaranty expressed or implied. We make no guaranty that the bike will run. We believe this cycle to be repairable but are discounting the price due to its non running condition. We also believe the parts alone are worth the asking price. NOTE: We have an original Rhode Island Registration and as a Massachusetts Class II dealer we can issue a certified "DRT" Form (Licensed Dealer Reassignment Form). Under Massachusetts law - this paperwork is good for all of New England. Check your local laws before purchasing - as this is the only paperwork that will be provided with the cycle.
