1985 Saab 900 Turbo 16 valve "CLASSIC" HISTORY: 1985 900 Saab Turbos are a dying breed and Saab enthusiasts know and appreciate a true beauty like this 85- 900 turbo which I have personally babied for "Many" years. The combination of highly unique," Aircraft inspired" appearance with innovative quality engineering make these cars extremely special. The turbo / 16 valve power DOHC , makes for a real driving experience with excellent handling that this SPG offers.1985 Turbos tend to "attract the most interest", though the increasing rarity of this well keep 900 turbo "unmolested" are making nearly all variants potentially "collectable". As Saab was a low volume manufacturer back in the 80's, Most Saabs relatively uncommon and any Saab "900 Turbo 85/16v in the condition of this 85 4-Dr turbo seadan is rare and unusual. UPGRADES: The 85 900 Turbo engine in this car was recently replaced with a 1985 "SPG" 900 Turbo engine. It was a very good unit showing approximately 89,000 miles. I had over 236,000 miles on the original engine when it expired. A photo of the recent Repair Reciept"Engine Replacement" and "Wireing Harness Replacement" will be availible for viewing in the photo gallery.Transmission and Clutch was replace 2 years ago. Very nice Alloy "Konig Wheels / Gun Metal Color" along with BF Goodrich T/A Radials (Excellent Tread). ISSUES/ MECHANICAL CONDITION/EXTERIOR/INTERIOR The over head liner in the interior has been removed and will need replacing. All the Glass in this car is perfect without any cracks or fractures.Stereo system with Saab equilizer works perfect.Power windows/Cruise (OK). Heated seats(OK) The exhaust manifold has a very slight crack and will need some attention in the future.The interior /Front & Back seats have no tears or cuts and show in very good condition. The dash has some small cracks on the top. A/C is presently not working. Possible low freon. I have had this car garaged for many years and have not driven it much since the motor was replaced several months ago but when I did It was extremly fast and a true joy to drive with NO misses and No skips and absolutely no Smoke. All 4 Disc breaks are in Very Good condition. All fluids were changed when the Motor was replaced in March, 2011. No oil leaks. The exterior of the body is in extremly good condition with No Rust and only slight dings. The paint is in excellent condition."Original Tool Kit" never used. I will be relocating and have decided to part with this car and will miss it..as it has been apart of my families life for many years. Enjoy ! Thank You...
