Introduction of 59 model was Oct. 31, 1958 , last 1959 model was made aug. 26, 1959. Named for Edsel Bryant Ford bor ned 11/06/1893 he died on 5/26/1943 . First Edsel built and introducted to public on 9/04/1957. This car was purchased by me from the estate of my friend Larry who passed away last june 2010 . He had owned this car for @ 10 years. He replaced the tranny right after he purchased the car. It runs good and sounds good. tires are decent, exhaust good. brakes stop good but are a little hard. all gages work . wipers not working and has a small squell in powersteering when first started. has a new battery 1 month ago. body has some lite rust but nothing that is not repairable. see pictures . Interior is very good . small tear in head liner.at back.
