Up for sale is my 2006 GSXR1000 in blue and white. I am the third owner of this bike - the first being a 61 year-old gent, the second being a fellow who only put 1000 or KMs on it, and me. I bought the GSXR last April as a replacement for my GSX650F and, although I love it to bits, buying a house; learning to fly; and a myriad of earthquake expenses are currently monopolising my time and money. For your hard-earned cash, you'll be taking ownership of the mighty GSXR1000. It is a dream to ride - fantastic handling, invigorating acceleration and speed, reassuring braking performance - and, though terribly vain of me to admit. Of course, you'll be getting more than just a factory GSXR1000. You'll be getting the full Yoshimura exhaust system; you ought to hear this thing - you can feel the boy racers and Harley riders wince when you pull up next to them. Chances are, this thing will also make you known to otherwise oblivious, SUV-driving trophy wives. You'll also get the Pazzo racing levers, which make braking and shifting all the more controlled; the K&N air filter, which, apparently, adds a few HP; the new set of Michelin Pilot Road 2s, which only have 1900 KMs on them (and about 11000 left to go); the tail-tidy; two pillion-seat covers (and the pillion seat); plus a rack system (which isn't installed).
