Vehicle Detail
I am selling this very rare classic. It is rare because factory options INCLUDE High Performance J code engine with 230 horse power C4 cruisomatic 3 speed Power steering Power Disc Brakes Console Fold down rear seat AM/FM stereo, with door speakers, door lights, and deluxe door grills. the t5 code means deluxe hood (turn signals) with black out treatment/also very rare. --Currently the car retains a 302 with a later model fmx transmission. The engine spins freely, and I had pulled the intake and valve covers and everything appears to move correctly. And while mentioning the work done on the body; we began some mechanical work to include all new brake lines (they are installed already) and we began some prep to get the engine to run. We pulled the intake manifold to see what looks like it was rebuilt (very very clean) but we found a bent push rod. We checked everything out and it is back to together head wise and has good compression (not by a tester but by ear and sight (with valve cover off) that everything is working right. (I have an extra set of valve covers included too. The intake manifold is just set down on the engine/ needs a $12 gasket set and then bolt down, I have the bolts. I truly believe that with about 3 hours work (or less if you work quickly) you could have the car running. And now it has manual pedals. Also Manual drum brakes When I bought this car I began with having a professional replace many of the sheet metal and structural problems these cars have. Including left and right full length floors, drivers side seat platform, full left rear rail replacement, right rear rail extension, although more work is needed with the original part of the rail. Trunk floors were replaced and the trunk is very solid. The cost of these repairs totaled $3600. Also, the front rails and shock towers are in excellent shape. The car still needs left and right rear 1/4 panels, which I will include the skins. Outer wheel houses, passenger side seat platform, front aprin patch repairs (the four common spots), left and right torque box/toe board repair. The prior owner began the 1/4 panel replacement and stopped as seem in photos. I was not planning on replacing the full panels, so I purchased skins which should work just fine. The cut will have to be re-welded. Obviously the car needs other body work in preparation for paint. This car needs a total restoration and I would not reccomed for a beginner. I would make note of the following items... the original 9'' rear was modified and the rear is now a 31 spline center chunk with hardened axles (I have located the correct 28 spline 9'') although the one in it was most likely used on the track, I suspect the car was raced in the past the car was converted to manual shift in the past, and when it was someone used a non console shifter and damaged the tunnel, I have the replacement section the needs to be welded in. In the photos are other parts I have for the car including... Chrome GT styled steel wheels 1/4 panel extentions, including fiberglass Shelby ones (2 sets total) Fan and pulley wiper arms blinkers rear seat bottom, some fold down components and trim exhaust manifolds, although the car has headers on it now Also included but not pictured are 69 mustang mach 1 seats, and rocker panel moldings And other parts seem in pictures Any other questions you may have I welcome calls at 201-961-3433-Tony -All you see in the ground photos is included. ** standard rear valence in good shape ** Extra grille and the grille surround moldings **rear quarter panel extensions **extra set of shelby style quarter panel extensions **Fan, spacer and water pump pulley to be put back into place **windshield Wiper arms **extra hood latch **4 EXCELLENT chrome styled steel wheels **front parking lamp assemblies **some rear interior parts and at least the most important of the 3 fold down seat components./I am looking by the way as I should have the middle piece too because I bought them together. I just cant find it. If I find it , it comes with the deal. ** I also have a set of 1969 Mustang mach1 high back seats that come with the deal, I was going to use them in the car because they are very comfortable. They are not pictured but they go with the deal. Now the door data tag that certainly impresses me and I expect you too. Enter the Data there. Last 2 things. 1. I recently moved from Connecticut to New Jersey so I have the cars Connecticut Certificate of Ownership. It is considered a title in many states but I dont know your state. so you should figure that yourself. IE New Jersey will accept this as a title but I have to have the old registration./to do that I have to bring it back to CT for an inspection. Again this is not some piece of paper that someone wrote I sold too .... (*ha ha) but this is a serious official Connecticut document. 2. Because I moved I have less space and need to sell this car. Thank you for looking I welcome personal inspection This car will not disappoint you but you should certainly know that this car needs a total restoration and probably not for a novice. IT needs work everywhere but the floors The front frame and shock towers are great too. Door Tag Breakdown indicates...
