1972 Mercedes 300SEL W108. This is a parts car. This auction is due to a relocation and the car must be picked up by July 17 so you have to act fast on this one! The body has some rust issues, was in a front end accident so please do not consider this is in restorable condition. The engine and transmission are out but included in auction. The engine was running and the D-Jet fuel injection works good. The 4 speed auto transmission was professionally rebuilt about 3 years ago and works excellent. The best feature of this car is the working air suspension. The suspension holds air. The bags were replaced about 5 years ago and are in good condition. All the air valves are corrosion free and in good working order. The radiator is a Behr unit and in good shape. This is a grey market Euro sedan with fabric seats. The front seats have some wear but the rear seat is in good condition. The left rear door panel is not attached but is included in sale. This car also has the rare optional headlight washers. The mechanisms are not installed but everything is included in the auction. The right headlight frame was destroyed in the accident but the spray nozzle is OK. A standard housing can be modified to attach mechanism and nozzle. The shifter has the rear chrome housing. The radio is a factory rebuilt Becker stereo unit factory modified with a MP3 jack. The car also has a beautiful stainless steel exhaust system that is in excellent condition. This is a high value parts car and I am sacrificing it for a fast sale.
