1978 Honda Hondamatic

You are looking at my 1978 Honda CB 750A Hondamatic with only 5667 miles. This is a two speed "automatic" motorcycle that does not have a clutch and is very easy to drive. Only one shift from low to high is required at about 30 miles per hour. I purchased this motorcycle for $3,500 from the original owner about 7 years ago and was riding it (occasionally) until the beginning of last year. For the year, (33 years old) it is in excellent condition but it is not currently in running condition. Last year two of the four carburetors float needles became stuck and the engine flooded. I removed the carburetors, replaced all four needle valves, cleaned out the carburetor bowls and re-installed them with new bowl gaskets, on the motorcycle. Since that time, I have not been able to get the engine to stay running-the carburetors are not supplying enough gas to the engine and it will run briefly with the choke on all of the way. I think the carburetor rubber boots (intake boots) that attach the carbs to the engine may be leaking air, and/or the carburetors need further cleaning or rebuilding that is beyond my capabilities. I am too busy with children, work, etc...to play with this any more and need the room in my garage so it is time to say good-bye to my Hondamatic. It would be a shame to part this bike out-it is in such nice condition it should be on the road again. Hopefully someone with a knowledge of these vintage engines is out there to give this bike a new home and get it running again. I do have the original Honda Shop Manual that goes with the bike to assist with the mechanical issue and there is a plexiglass wind shield that was installed on the bike when I purchased it that also goes with the bike.
