Up for auction is a great, simple daily driver Mercedes Turbo Diesel that has served me well for many years. The most interesting thing about this car is that I have converted it to a four speed manual transmission using Mercedes factory components harvested from a European Mercedes. This car has the correct (very heavy) 300D flywheel that has been re-balanced to match the automatic flexplate that was fitted before the conversion. The manual transmission conversion was completed almost 10 years ago and the car has performed flawlessly since then. The car is smooth, responsive and gets nice fuel mileage. The car is a driver and not a show car. The paint is very dull and I expect it is a poor re-paint. It has some rust spots here and there and a dent on the roof from where a branch hit it. The wheels have been refinished and the car has nice tires on it. The cruise control no longer works but the car does drive nice and has good steering and brakes.
