The Big Daddy Rat, the rockabilly claim to famer, the raw naked look, or the Cheech & Chong low-rider. This bike is ugly, in your face. The old Goldwingers would hiccup a f*rt if they saw this one. Bike is dropped low, low, low. Really, has very little to do with a Goldwing at all, other than running chassis and motor. Has Harley fat-bob small twin tanks. Also Panhead-style tag reflectors. Has an Aermacchi vintage Harley speedo which, true to form, works when it wants to. Has oversized fork tube covers. Gives it a fat custom look. Headlight and speedo are blue at night. Headlight has working high/low beam. Horn's function is via a small kill button on upper left handlebar. Starter is on center of dash. Functions with turn of the key. Brake light runs a three-tiered lens. All electrics are in the old gas tank under the seat. As far as the visual artistic touches, paint is an automotive satin with a urethane metallic blue base, wet-sanded so both colors would give a worn look. Radiator reservoir is a Blue Moon beer bottle, which functions perfectly. On the other side of the bike near the rear side of the battery, is a miniature Pabst Blue Ribbon bottle that has no function at all other than taking space where the starter solenoid used to be. Also, this custom cool ride is running a Dunlop - K750/17 rear tire. Front is a Maxxis 110-80/R19. Both are new. Front and back calipers have been completely gone through. Battery is also new. Front and back seats are off a Honda Shadow. Rear shocks would appear to be old Harley Pan Head, but are actually covered struts. Also, there are Peterbilt wheel center caps covering the rear axle and front top fork tubes. Mufflers have been shortened with some baffles taken out. Still gives a nice, deep growl without too much noise. Also, rear fender is your tag when in place. Seems appropriate that as much money as your local DMV charges, the least they can do is cover your backside when you need it. Only rub I can say with the bike's functioning is the rubber intake bells that are between the aluminum manifold and carbs are sealing possibly to 90%. These, over time, get hard and when clamped can get fish-mouthed and this will cause a sporadic idle, as you will note in the video when the motor is first starting and idling. There is a small oil leak near the drain bolt when bike sits. Also, about the video, sorry but during the upload we have been getting a lot of "pops" and glitches. This has happened before from time to time, and it may just be the server that we are using. Bike runs very good, has plenty of power, shifts very good. Charging system is working as it should. Cooling fan kicks in as it should. Pretty much, just a very cool custom that, if you wanted perfect, I would say to probably replace the intake manifolds. I have not priced new, although I have seen a few used on Ebay but, then, would I be purchasing the same ones I have? So, that's about it. If you like what you see, awesome. If you don't, that's fine, too. I've been married three times and can take the worse criticism. Any questions, please feel free to email if I have missed any mention of the bike that can be of interest. I will get back asap.
