For sale is my 1997 Silver Honda Civic 2 Door DX Coupe. It has a manual 5-speed transmission, clear title, no accidents (TONS of new new major parts, listed shortly). I bought this car with just over 100k miles on it from a guy who owned it, and it was only owned by his aunt prior to that. I have driven this car over the last 4 years to and from work between Lafayette and Indianapolis, as well as from Lafayette to Ohio, so it is ALL highway miles (I drive my Acura around town on the weekends). The main reason I bought this car was that it gets a phenominal 36mpg. With gas prices as high as they are, I have saved a LOT of money driving this car. Since purchasing it 4 years ago, I have put in a new transmission, clutch, stick shift, alternator, water pump, timing belt, exhaust manifold, radiator, hood latch, plugs and wires, etc. I personally cannot think of any major parts that I have not put in brand new of in this car. There are thousands of dollars of new parts in this car alone (I had considered just selling the parts individually but I currently have 4 cars in the driveway and would just like to sell this as well as my wife's sunfire.) The car currently has about 197k miles on it, but again, I have replaced almost all of the major parts. The main reason I am selling this car is because my wife is graduating pharmacy school shortly and I just bought a new 2010 Kia and am no longer as conscious about saving gas money. It is a great car at an even better price for someone looking to get a great, dependable gas saver. There is currently nothing AT ALL wrong with the car's engine or anything preventing it from running great. The car is not in PERFECT cosmetic condition, but there are only minor things wrong with it that would cost little to get fixed if need be, which I will list. The driver window is off the track and just needs to be put back on the track, the window handle also needs to be secured back on to the door so it can be rolled down, the center console is missing 1 of the air vent covers, which again, can probably be purchased for like $10 through Ebay (or the whole center console replaced for under $100 for that matter.) I just cleaned out the entire car and it is ready to go. The car has pretty new tires, I believe I got them around 6 months ago, but the brakes will need replaced soon, they warble a little bit when coming to quick stops. There are some minor scrapes and dings (the best way to describe it is that it looks like little rocks or pebbles just hit the bumpers and took some little paint chips out) on the back bumper as well as the front bumper, but no major dents or anything. This car has NEVER been involved in an accident and has a clear title. Local pickup or shipping only. Car is sold AS IS since it is a used vehicle.
