Vehicle Detail

VIN # 11304310000734 rolled off the line in late, 1967, after which Mercedes would begin the third version of the same body style, the 280 SL. The 250 was the second of the so-called “Pagoda” top Mercedes which referred to the slight swag that ran down the middle of the matching hard top. This 250 is white with red interior and matching red hard top with a cloth top. The car is rare in that it has a manual four-speed transmission as opposed to the automatic favored by the U.S. market. It has the standard inline six cylinder motor, with fuel injection, producing 150 hp and top speed of 120 mph. This is a Germany car and brought to the USA by a US Soldier for his wife, the car was bought new by him in Germany and when they returned to the US it was converted to MPH for KIL. She drove the car until her death a few years ago I bought it from her daughter about 14 years ago in Kileen, Texas. Have no Idea how many Kilometers it had before 1972, but probably not many. The car has 33,418 miles showing, an average of about 856 miles a year over its 39 years since it has been in the US. This car needs a good owner and lots of TLC. It Hasn't been driven for 5 years. Needs Battery probably fuel filter, and I know a nylon top bushing on the gear shift. It's a really fun Car to drive and turns a lots of heads. Please Call me or E-mail me for any info. you may wonder about. Delivery might be possible for expenses if not too far way. 830-703-0826 gary@humphreysgunshop.com
