Vehicle Detail

A great collectible matching numbers 1965 TR6 SR, DU 22634, only 922 made. Obviously the wrong color, but a very complete bike with no frame or engine damage, no broken fins, no repairs that I have seen. Has correct speedo and tach, speedo reads 22,429. The primary cover, timing cover and gearbox cover are very good. Has original carb and most other parts except the front fender and missing the tail light adaptor and center stand. The petrol tank is like new inside, but the knee pad and tank grid holes have been filled, but the stubs for the threads can be seen on the inside so would be simple enough to restore. The front tank mount threads have been changed to SAE. Documentation: I recently acquired the bike from a licensed dealer in Georgia and the bike was registered, but Georgia does not require a title for pre-1985 vehicles, so was not available. For states requiring a title, they do offer the owner a Letter of Verification which I have requested and will provide to the buyer. Condition: The bike as acquired by the dealer was represented as having a rebuilt engine, the project had never been completed. Pistons were OK so not replaced, engine reassembled and put back in the frame, a few pieces remaining in boxes (tank, exhaust, foot pegs, etc.). I acquired the bike with other items to complete assembly and resell as-is. Looking through the spark plug hole, one can see a clean piston top, but not new, there are all new gaskets on the head, cylinder, timing gearbox and primary cover, so maybe the previous owner gave the correct story. I did check the compression and had 95 psi on one side and 110 on the other, so may not be unexpected for sitting and having not been started. Clutch seems normal, goes through all four gears smoothly, but there was not a final drive chain. The wiring harness looks complete and original except for the addition of a 12-v conversion kit (sorry, not familiar with anything but the original.) The rims are correct original but with light rust bubbles, as are other chrome bits. Looks like a very good classic bike to restore, or make sure the electrics are right and start it up! Sold with NO RESERVE. Shipping: Buyer to pick up or arrange shipping. I can deliver to local shipper if helpful.
