Vehicle Detail
Here is a pretty rare 1946 Chevy Stylemaster Business Coupe unfinished project for your consideration. I don't have the time, ability or talent to finish. Here are some details: Car has been stripped to bare metal and a lot of work has been done to bring it fairly close to paint stage. No blast of primer hiding the body. Body is sitting on newer chassis ('76 El Camino). Running 454 big block, auto transmission, front disc brakes, new exhaust all the way, rear air shocks, matching Cragar SS rims. Rear end is GM #1243774 10 bolt. Leaves to marks if that helps. I don't know what gears. I believe the block number is #14015445 (78-87 truck?). It runs well. Original steering column/ shifter. Parts I have for car, but not limited to: all beltline trim, hood emblem, wipers and towers, trunk handle assembly, bumpers and filler pieces ( I was going without bumpers), quarter glass, rear curved glass, nice grille driver quality, ALL garnish moulding in excellent condition, door handles, hood trim and ornament, stainless stone guards that need some work, headliner bows, door/window cranks, new fender welt, trunk weatherstrip, bench seat, new gas cap, headlight bezels, stainless rings and buckets, RVM, visors, arm rests, ah-ooh-gah horn.....I have a lot needed to complete the car, but definitely not everything. Body is very solid for 65+ years old and will need some finishing. I would say about 85-90% of body work is done. Doors were removed for sanding/painting jams. I was able to purchase original rear fenders in great shape with no rot. I have pictured one loosely hanging to show wheel centered. Areas needing the most attention: finish door bottoms, possibly add splash pans, and finish outside rockers. Battery has been relocated to trunk and probably needs a heavier duty positive cable ran. I have a cut-off switch mounted under dash. Car has TN car title as well as TN title for the El Camino. I also have several pics documenting donor car and body being put together that will go to buyer. Car is located in Mooresville, North Carolina (30 miles north of Charlotte). I drive this in my driveway, but it will need to be towed/trailered. Buyer responsible for all shipping, but I will be happy to assist at this end and package parts properly. A $500.00 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end, remainder 5 days from auction end. Car will be released when full payment is cleared. I have this car for sale locally, so I reserve right to end auction early. I am more than happy to show the car in person or answer any questions you may have. I pride myself on listing honestly and with integrity, as my 100% feedback will show. Another local project reflects my low BIN. On Jul-05-11 at 11:51:59 PDT, seller added the following information: 7/5/11 Also included : Chevrolet 1942-48 Passenger Car and 1942-46 Truck shop manual. Buyer may choose reupholstered tan bucket seats ( Miata) instead of the bench seat. There is no battery that goes with this car. I use one from another vehicle when starting.
